Verizon FiOS - Bundle And Save

Verizon announced they will no longer be selling the Hub. The Hub was supposed to be a one stop communication center for your home. It had time and weather widgets, along with calendar and traffic features.

The downfall to the Hub may have been the high price. To buy the Hub you would have to fork-out $200. Each additional hand set would cost another $80. Plus on top of those costs you still had to pay $35 a month for the service in addition users were required to have wireless service with Verizon.

Verizon will still be offering support and service for customers that already have the Hub. The Hub used voice over internet protocol. This is the same service companies like Vonage offers. Other companies offering VOIP services do not have the extra features that were offered with the Hub. Maybe they will consider adding some as long as they can keep their costs down it should be successful.

The Hub would have done great if it came out a few years ago. Now too many people have smart phones that have all these features already. They are not going to pay extra for something they already get.
