In today’s world, the internet is extremely important, as is connectivity of any other type. If you have been following the technological world at all lately, you probably know that there are a few different wireless generations. One of the latest is 3G, which stands for Third Generation. While the third generation technology was useful for a while, it had to make way for the fourth generation. The only problem, as is the problem with every other technological generation, is that it is not yet available everywhere.

Rural areas have long been a problem when it comes to new technology, which means many people find it difficult to access this technology. Verizon strives to fix this problem by bringing its 4G technology even to the most rural of markets.

In December, Verizon intends to launch its 3G network in 25 different cities, which will reach approximately 100 million people. This is partly in response to the Obama Administration and their priority on bringing high speed internet to everyone in the United States. Verizon claims that the internet connection will be extremely fast. In fact, the Verizon Engineers state that the majority of users will have 8Mbps down, which is an extremely fast connection by today’s standards.

The FCC states that the introduction of high speed internet to the rural areas has indeed become a top priority. It has been found that connectivity is important for economic growth, as much business is now done solely online. In addition to that, it is difficult for people to move to a new town or even city if they find that the internet connection or even phone service is lacking.

This move by Verizon may very well serve to end poverty and boost the economy in many areas across the United States. Because of the economic repercussions, it is clear that Verizon will benefit from this action. Not only will they receive millions of new customers, they will also receive tax breaks for their efforts in the Rural areas.

There was a time when Verizon’s wireless network was not the most reliable in the country. In fact, many broadband users suffered from connectivity issues, and many could only have an intermittent signal if that. These days Verizon is almost ahead of the competition, and nearly ready to compete with Sprint.

Sprint has long been a contender, but it is clear that Verizon will surpass them as far as bandwidth goes. It has been stated that Sprint could have all the bandwidth in the world if they shut down their push to talk network. The problem with that is the fact that there are a few million push to talk customers paying considerable amounts of money for the service. Shutting it down would cause unthinkable repercussions, and could in fact lead Sprint to its demise.

So what effect will this have on you? If you are already a 4G customer, you will be able to enjoy that 4G access in more places. Many people are a bit apprehensive about traveling to areas in which there is no cellular phone use, or at least no 4G access. Many small towns will begin to see big changes, and those changes will be beneficial for every single person in the United States.

We are preparing to enter a new era. It is an era where everyone will have unhindered internet and cellular access. It is something that people have dreamed of for years but could never quite grasp. For the first time cloud computing will be a reasonable means of conducting business, and finally permit people from all over the nation to connect.

Unheard of, new, sensational, powerful, all of these words describe what is happening now. It may take several years for 4G networks to spread all over the country, but this is certainly a great start, and a great way to usher us into the 4G generation.
